Magasin 4

As part of the Urban Renewal Contract No. 1 "Citroën – Vergote", the Urban Development Corporation (SAU-MSI) has been appointed as the contracting authority for the construction of the new concert hall of Magasin 4, a mythical place of Brussels punk-rock culture.

The land of this future concert hall is located at the corner of Avenue du Port and Rue de l'Entrepôt, near Tour et Taxis. It represents a surface area of 900 m2.

The SAU is in charge of its construction, in close collaboration with the city of Brussels.

A little history:

• In November 2020, the SAU-MSI published a Call for Expressions of Interest to designate the multidisciplinary team responsible for the design of this future building.
• In January 2021, the SAU-MSI selected 5 teams from the 46 applications received as part of the Call for Expressions of Interest.
• In May 2021, the SAU-MSI, in consultation with the City of Brussels, the office of the Minister-President of the Brussels-Capital Region and the Bouwmeester – Maître Architecte, appointed "CENTRAL société d’architectes belge " for the design of the new concert hall of Magasin 4.
• The work began at the end of 2023. 
• The first concerts will take place at the beginning of 2025.
