SAU launches new phase of building restoration at Uccle-Boitsfort Hippodrome

The Urban Planning Corporation (SAU) has published a public procurement notice with a view to appointing the general contractor responsible for restoring six buildings at the Uccle-Boitsfort Hippodrome.

This second phase of restoration (basic structure plus façades, doors and windows) will relate to the concrete betting hall (number 9A on the map), the steel betting hall (9B), the main entrance pavilion (12), the forest house (23), the entrance pavilion on the car park side (25) and the tunnel (29).

The SAU expects that the work will start in winter 2020-2021 and be completed in the course of 2022.

Between 2014 and 2016, the SAU conducted a first phase of restoration of the outer shell of four iconic buildings at the Hippodrome: the Grandstand, the Small Stand, the Weighing Building and the Judges’ Tower. This first restoration project represented an investment of 6 million euros.

Tenders must be submitted no later than Monday 18 November 2019 at 2.30 pm.
