SAU participates in MIPIM 2022

The Brussels-Capital Region has a long history of activity at MIPIM and has been present there in a Belgian pavilion since 2015. As the Belgian and European capital and a city of international stature, it is right for Brussels to be present at this key professional gathering of the real estate sector. Over the years, depending on what is topical, it has promoted its regional development ambitions, its major urban projects, the talents of its architects, the exemplary achievements of its public bodies, private investment opportunities within its territory and so on. And of course, given that MIPIM is an important annual networking fixture, it also listens attentively to other voices in the real estate sector.

Once again this year, as it was in 2019 (photos), the Urban Development Corporation (SAU) will be part of the Brussels regional delegation at MIPIM, which is being held in Cannes from 15 to 18 March. On Thursday 17 March, during ‘Breakfast in Brussels’, the unmissable annual get-together of Brussels real estate professionals organised by the Capital Region, Minister-President Rudi Vervoort, Secretary of State for Urban Planning and Heritage Pascal Smet and Secretary of State for Housing Nawal Ben Hamou will discuss ‘The smart densification of the Brussels-Capital Region’. Along with the management of several other regional bodies, Gilles Delforge, the SAU’s director, will take part in the round table session that brings to a close this event held at the Palais des Festivals (auditorium A) from 9.30 to 11.30.

Other highlights of the Brussels programme at the Belgian pavilion for this 2022 edition of MIPIM: the ‘Cities for Citizens’ panel organised by MIPIM, with the participation of Pascal Smet; the Belgian pavilion’s opening ceremony; the partner session organised by hub.brussels (‘Towards inclusive and circular urban development’).
