Permission granted for The Dome, the conversion of the former Actiris building

The Brussels Region has issued planning permission for The Dome, the repurposing of the iconic building at the corner of Place de la Bourse and Boulevard Anspach, Secretary of State for Urban Development and Heritage, Pascal Smet, confirmed on Wednesday 2 November.

The Urban Development Corporation (SAU), acting on behalf of the Brussels-Capital Region, launched the procedure for the sale of the former Actiris headquarters building opposite the Bourse in June 2017. In June 2018, the Government of the Brussels-Capital Regional then instructed the SAU to finalise the sale with the consortium VDD Project Development - Vervoordt r.e., which was selected following the procedure run by the SAU.

The Dome will be a 21,000 m² multifunctional building with shops (including Eataly and Delhaize), restaurants, offices and housing.
