The Urban Development Corporation (sau-msi.brussels) is committed to implement the Canal Plan. The Government of the Brussels-Capital Region has entrusted it with the realisation of public facilities projects that are exemplary of the ambitions of the Canal Plan (diversity, density, urban integration, etc.):
conversion of the buildings located at 13-15 and 17-19 rue de Manchester in 1080 Molenbeek-Saint-Jean into a new cultural centre. The site is intended to accommodate cultural, artistic and creative production facilities as well as related facilities (administrative premises, multipurpose room, artists' residencies, etc.).
construction of a new regional sports facility along the Quai des Armateurs and the Allée Verte.
construction of an integrated care centre for drug users in very precarious situations. This new building will be erected at 55 Avenue du Port, opposite Tour et Taxis and next to the Port's headquarters.
construction of a new fire station at 409 chaussée de Mons in Anderlecht. This new fire station located in the heart of the Cureghem district will also house a shared sports facility, independent of the fire station, for the Fire Department but also for local residents.
project management of the future fire brigade station on the site of the Port Business Park, next to Tour et Taxis.
