SAU shortlists 5 of 59 proposals received for design of fire station and local sports facility

The Urban Development Corporation (SAU), working with the office of the Region’s Chief Architect, has drawn up a shortlist of 5 of the 59 proposals received in response to the European public procurement notice that it published in early November with a view to appointing the multidisciplinary team responsible for designing a new fire station together with a sports facility open for use by local residents(*).

The Brussels Region has tasked the SAU with constructing the building at 409 Chaussée de Mons, between the Canal and Chaussée de Mons in Anderlecht. Its opening is scheduled for 2024.

The five teams shortlisted in the initial selection phase of the procedure which have been asked to submit a preliminary draft design are as follows:

• Bogdan & Van Broeck
• Dhooghe & Meganck
• HUB
• Label

In the second part of the procedure, the award phase, in collaboration with SIAMU-DBDMH (the fire and emergency medical service) and the municipal authorities in particular, it will pick the successful candidate on the basis of the preliminary drafts, which will be given the task of designing the new facility.
